This week I want to share a few thoughts on El Salvador adopting Bitcoin as legal tender.
The world is now getting acquainted with Salvadoran president Nayib Bukele. Before he made global headlines I had been observing him on my frequent trips to visit family there. Visiting El Salvador over the last 30 years and witnessing what life is like in a developing country most travelers consider dangerous based on what they are told and not on what they have seen, I have a different point of view. El Salvador has it’s share of crime but if you don’t go out looking for trouble you go about your business.
My reservations around crypto have always been regulatory in nature. Little did I know after investing twenty five dollars a few years ago in filing for Salvadoran citizenship by way of my family that I would be granted a front row seat to the evolving drama between centralized and decentralized finance. This is a story I will be watching closely and will be visiting the country later this year.
Every Friday I share one lifestyle design idea, something I am reading, something that inspired me, and one question for my readers.

One Lifestyle Design Idea From Me
Wealth is a feeling.
It’s a feeling of abundance knowing your needs have been met and will continue to be met in one way or another. It’s confidence in your ability to draw on your inner and outer resources to have a quality of life you enjoy independent of what is expected or considered a success.
Focusing on wealth expressed as a number won’t be enough without addressing the feeling of scarcity and where it comes from. I’ve personally known people that have lived well into their nineties with very little education, limited work experience, no retirement plan and have still managed to plug into life source to sustain them all those years.
Consider yourself abundant if you have access to health, valuable information, have money in reserves, and have invested time into unquantifiable and untaxable wealth.
What the world is now witnessing in the crypto revolution is a rare glimpse into collective beliefs around money and the lives that we design around it.
What I Am Reading
Julian Robertson: A Tiger In the Land of Bulls and Bears. Been reading a few books lately on Wall Streets legends to get a sense of how they think and operate in the financial world. The book illustrates how an experienced investor pivots when the inevitable financial meltdowns occur and how some things change and some things in investing stay the same.
One Thing That Inspired Me
Most of us have the feeling that we are here to accomplish something big in our lives, and if we haven't done something that fits the bill we may feel as if we are waiting. We may feel incomplete, or empty, as if our lives don't yet make sense to us, because they don't line up with our idea of major accomplishment. In some cases, this may be because we really are meant to do something that we haven't yet done. But in most cases, we can let ourselves off the hook with the realization that just being here, being ourselves, is enough.
As we live our lives in this world, we share our energy and our spirit with the people around us in numerous ways. Our influence touches their lives and, through them, touches the lives of many more people. When we strive to live our lives to the fullest and to become our true selves, we are doing something big on an inner level, and that is more than enough to make sense of our being here on this planet at this time. There is no need to hold ourselves to an old idea in the back of our minds that we need to make headlines or single-handedly save the world in order to validate our existence.
We can each look within our hearts to discover what is true for us, what gives our lives meaning, and what excites us. We can release ourselves from any pressure to perform that comes from outside of our inner sense of purpose. Staying in tune with our own values and living our lives in tune with our own vision is all we need in order to fulfill our time here. Our lives are a process of becoming so that we cannot help but cocreate; being who we are, responding to each moment as it comes, we can trust that this is enough.

One Question For My Readers
Can I let go of beliefs around self-worth and success that are no longer meaningful?
If you found value here it would mean a lot to me if you can share it with someone.
Comments, questions, or thoughts from you the reader are always welcomed.
Until Next Week. Happy week ahead!
